This Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24, we will gather together in the morning for our regular worship service at 10:30 a.m.  Then in the evening, we will have special candlelit services at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. with a live nativity to tell the story of Jesus' birth. We are excited to announce that we will be hosting Drawing Near to God beginning on January 10 for a 12-week series and study on Ephesians. This is an opportunity for women within Saint Peter's and within our community to join together for a time of powerful worship, engaging small group discussion, prayer ministry and dynamic teaching by Joanne Ellison. Prayer Ministry Event

January 18 through 20, Saint Peter’s will host a Christian Healing Ministries’ School of Healing Prayer Event. The Christian Healing Ministries team will be here from Jacksonville, FL to teach on topics from their Levels II & III Schools, and lead worship. We hope everyone who has gone through the CHM Level I Training will save the dates, and plan to attend. Please contact prayer@saintpeters.me with any questions.

First Communion Class: Table Talk

First Communion Class: Table Talk

The First Communion Class is an opportunity for children in 3rd through 5th grade to learn and experience what it means to come to the table each Sunday. We will meet on Sunday, January 21 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. for Session One and then continue on Sunday, January 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for Session Two with dinner included. Parents are asked to attend alongside of their children as they grow and learn with one another. At the end of sessions, children will be given an opportunity to take their First Communion during worship along our Saint Peter's Community. Annual Oyster Roast and Dip Off

Join us from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. January 27 for our Annual Oyster Roast and Dip Off. Bring your award-winning favorite dip, lawn chairs, family and friends over to the Saint Peter's Barn to enjoy a fun afternoon under the oaks! We will also have hot dogs for your children and for those who may not prefer oysters. This is one of our biggest opportunities to INVITE neighbors, coworkers and friends to join you. We will even pay for half of your guests' tickets! Tickets are $25 each for oyster eaters and $10 each for non-oyster eaters. Kids 12 and under are free.

Prayer Ministry Level 1 Training is offered to anyone interested in learning more about prayer or participating in Prayer Ministry at Saint Peter’s. Level 1 is a required course for anyone interested in attending Levels 2 & 3, which will be offered in January, 2018. To accommodate your schedule, online web seminars are available as well as three Practicum classes offered Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m, September 26, October 24 and November 14 or Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. September 28, October 26 and November 16. Discover Saint Peters (formerly called our Membership Class) is a three week class that is designed to help newer folks connect and learn about our church. We will discuss our Christian and Anglican identity, what it looks like to be a part of the Saint Peter’s community, and how to get involved. Our Wednesday morning Bible study is an opportunity for moms with children of any age to grow in our faith through study, and find support in community through prayer and fellowship. All members are invited to join us for a Saint Peter's Prayer Ministry Informational Meeting, to learn more about our Prayer Ministry and consider becoming involved. Please plan to attend Sunday, August 20 or Sunday, August 27. We will meet in the first modular classroom, from 11:20 to 11:40 a.m. each day. If you would like more information but can not attend either meeting, please contact our Prayer Ministry Leadership at prayer@saintpeters.me.

Children’s Ministry Fall Kick Off and Parents’ Night Out

As we kick off a new school and ministry year, we are asking all families to join us for a brief meeting and time of prayer for our children at 6 p.m. on August 25. After our meeting, parents will be given the gift of a Parents’ Night Out from 7 to 9. While parents are enjoying a free night out, our children will enjoy their own time of fellowship including games, snacks, crafts and a movie. Soul in the City

This summer, from July 23 through 28, our Saint Peter’s campus will be transformed into a base camp for over 75 middle school and high school youth. We will have worship and teaching and, throughout the week, these students will go into the city and serve needs in the community.

The Enduring Marriage: A Summer Study

We offered a Marriage Series this past spring, and now the team is kicking off a small group summer study. Through this class, we hope to continue building relationships, and go deeper in our marriages and our understanding of what God intends. This will be a 6-week study program, led by couples from the Marriage Series’ team. Sessions will begin July 9 at 9 a.m., before the service, and childcare will be provided. Our Third Annual Antique Flea Market will be held Thursday, June 22 from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 24, from 7 to 11 a.m. (There is a $10.00 fee for the early bird sale on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.) You’ll discover amazing finds, antiques, and heirlooms, including artwork, lamps, tables, chairs, sofas, china and outdoor furniture. The sale benefits our Honduras missionary, Suzy McCall, so please donate what you can and purchase what you need!

We will have free pickup of your donations available on Saturday June 17. Donations we cannot accept include: clothing, Christmas decorations, exercise equipment, mattresses, electronics and books. Please contact, Cindy Hughes at cindyiop@comcast.net to plan for donation pickups.
