Wednesday Morning Moms’ Bible Study

Our Wednesday morning Bible study is an opportunity for moms with children of any age to grow in our faith through study, and find support in community through prayer and fellowship. We meet from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the Red Shed. Our first meeting is on September 13th and we will meet through November, take December off, and start again in January. Please contact Victoria Culbertson if you need childcare or have any questions.

Alpha is a course that creates a safe environment where nonbelievers, or those who may have questions of faith, can come to discuss and discover together. If you’ve got questions about faith, we hope you’ll plan to attend. For everyone else, we ask that you would invite a friend or neighbor or co-worker and that you pray for all who participate. Prayer Ministry Training

Prayer Ministry Level 1 Training is offered to anyone interested in learning more about prayer or participating in Prayer Ministry at Saint Peter’s. Level 1 is a required course for anyone interested in attending Levels 2 & 3, which will be offered in January, 2018. To accommodate your schedule, online web seminars are available as well as three Practicum classes offered Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m, September 26, October 24 and November 14 or Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. September 28, October 26 and November 16. Discover Saint Peter's

For those of you who have been attending Discover Saint Peter's, we will resume this Sunday, September 17, at 5 p.m. in the Red Shed. We hope to see you all there, for our final week together. 

Discover Saint Peters (formerly called our Membership Class) is a three week class that is designed to help newer folks connect and learn about our church. We will discuss our Christian and Anglican identity, what it looks like to be a part of the Saint Peter’s community, and how to get involved. If you’re new here or have a desire to learn more, we hope you’ll save the dates and plan to attend. Please RSVP to Ashley to attend and to request child care.

Student & Family BBQ Kickoff

Our Student & Family BBQ Kickoff, which was originally scheduled for last Sunday, will now be held this Sunday, September 17 at 11:30 a.m., immediately following the service.

 

Please join us in the barn as we cast the vision for this ministry and share details for the upcoming year. It will be a gathering filled with fun, food and fellowship. Prayer Ministry Informational Meeting

At Saint Peter's we believe that lives are transformed through prayer, that Jesus commands us to pray and that He has given us all authority to do so. Therefore, we make it a priority (Isaiah 61:1-4; Luke 4:16-21; Matthew 10:1, 7-8; John 14:26; the Book of Acts).

All members are invited to join us for a Saint Peter's Prayer Ministry Informational Meeting, to learn more about our Prayer Ministry and consider becoming involved. Please plan to attend Sunday, August 20 or Sunday, August 27. We will meet in the first modular classroom, from 11:20 to 11:40 a.m. each day. If you would like more information but can not attend either meeting, please contact our Prayer Ministry Leadership at prayer@saintpeters.me.

Children’s Ministry Fall Kick Off and Parents’ Night Out

As we kick off a new school and ministry year, we are asking all families to join us for a brief meeting and time of prayer for our children at 6 p.m. on August 25. After our meeting, parents will be given the gift of a Parents’ Night Out from 7 to 9. While parents are enjoying a free night out, our children will enjoy their own time of fellowship including games, snacks, crafts and a movie. We ask all parents that you make this night a priority so that we are able to move into the new school and ministry year as a team! For registration and questions, please contact Ashley.

Soul in the City

This summer, from July 23 through 28, our Saint Peter’s campus will be transformed into a base camp for over 75 middle school and high school youth. We will have worship and teaching and, throughout the week, these students will go into the city and serve needs in the community.

This is a big endeavor, with many opportunities to serve. Please contact Becky Phillips to learn how you can get involved!

The Enduring Marriage: A Summer Study

We offered a Marriage Series this past spring, and now the team is kicking off a small group summer study. Through this class, we hope to continue building relationships, and go deeper in our marriages and our understanding of what God intends. This will be a 6-week study program, led by couples from the Marriage Series’ team. Sessions will begin July 9 at 9 a.m., before the service, and childcare will be provided. Antique Flea Market

Our Third Annual Antique Flea Market will be held Thursday, June 22 from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 24, from 7 to 11 a.m. (There is a $10.00 fee for the early bird sale on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.) You’ll discover amazing finds, antiques, and heirlooms, including artwork, lamps, tables, chairs, sofas, china and outdoor furniture. The sale benefits our Honduras missionary, Suzy McCall, so please donate what you can and purchase what you need!

We will have free pickup of your donations available on Saturday June 17. Donations we cannot accept include: clothing, Christmas decorations, exercise equipment, mattresses, electronics and books. Please contact, Cindy Hughes at cindyiop@comcast.net to plan for donation pickups.

Light from Light, in partnership with Chick-fil-A of North Mt. Pleasant and KOA, will host the 2nd annual Hope for Haiti 5K on June 8th, 2017 at 7 p.m. Make plans to join us for this family friendly, trail run through historic Oakland Plantation.
