Back to School Bash and Parents' Night Out

As we approach the new school year, we are asking all families to join us for a brief meeting and time of prayer for our children at 6 p.m. on August 23. After our meeting, parents will be given the gift of a Parents’ Night Out from 7 to 9 p.m. While parents are enjoying a night out, our children will enjoy their own time of fellowship including games, snacks, crafts and a movie. Please note we will have snacks for children, but you do need to feed them dinner before you come. Please RSVP to Lara Barrnett by August 19.

During our meeting we will be sharing some exciting details about “Pop Up Sunday,” small groups, curriculum news, and much more! Give us 45 minutes of your precious time, and we will give you 2 hours to enjoy on your own while we care for your children!

We ask all parents that you make this night a priority so that we are able to move into the new school year as a team!

COMMUNITY GROUPS AT SAINT PETER'S

Community groups at Saint Peter's are different than what happens on Sundays, but is just as important-Sunday isn't a Community and a Community isn't Sunday. A short, oversimplified definition of a Community Group is "a group of people who are a part of Saint Peter's Church, who gather to eat together, pray together, and practice the way of Jesus together." Community Groups are formed around encouraging you in your connection to Jesus, doing life with other brothers and sisters here at Saint Peter's, and practicing the way of Jesus together here in the Lowcountry. Please contact Abby Price at to sign up or ask questions.

Making Space

Making Space

We are excited to announce that starting March 10, we will be moving to two services. As we've taken a look back over the last several years, we have continued to grow in all areas, especially in our Sunday morning attendance. As a response to this growth, we see huge potential for our church community so we want to begin to make space for others. Our desire to is have space to invite our neighbors, friends and coworkers, families and children, and to have space for more opportunities to serve, and grow deeper. As we do life with others, we want to have a place where we can invite them into community, to connect with each other and with Jesus. Beginning March 10, our service times will be 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. Together, let's open wide our sanctuary doors and make space for those we do life with.

If you are not currently serving in a Sunday morning ministry and are willing to begin to serve as we move to two services, please email Abby Price.

Alpha

Alpha is a series of forums exploring the Christian faith. Each forum looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk on some aspect of the Christian faith and good conversation.

Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

September 26 through November 15, we will be meeting in small groups in homes and in the Shed at the Church. These groups will meet in the morning and evening. If you would like more information about these groups, the time of day they meet, or anything else that is on your mind, please email Kristy Cuthbert for all the details.
