Turner Merritt

Student Ministry Leader & Coordinator of Missions

Turner has a passion for real, authentic relationships and is excited to follow God’s call to help grow those relationships at Saint Peter’s Church. As the Director of Student Ministry, he will work to empower Middle and High School students, walk along side and encourage them to grow and live into the unique person God created them to be. As the point person for local and international missions and outreach, he will work to further engage Saint Peter’s Church and deepen the bonds with our community and mission partners.

Turner was born and raised in the foothills of Northwest Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2003, he found home in the Lowcountry where he enjoys exploring God’s creation outdoors whenever possible. Turner’s wife, Margaret, serves as the Executive Director of the LAMB institute, Saint Peter’s mission partner in Honduras. Turner and Margaret love to travel and experience other customs and cultures. They live in Mount Pleasant with their two children, Miller and Reston.
